Let’s stop pretending companies “can’t” share salary ranges.
They can. They just often choose not to.
Because once a salary range is posted, it becomes impossible to hide:

💥 When two people in the same role are paid very differently
💥 When new hires are brought in higher than long-tenured employees
💥 When negotiation skills matter more than fairness
💥 When outdated salary bands have never been updated

Does your company share salary ranges?

Are there any consulting firms with roles that require 20% travel or less?

Is it worth considering a career in Restructuring Consulting in the long term given that their work can be quite cyclical and hinges on the spectrum of the economy.
Or have I misunderstood this? Are the teams always busy with projects?

With my partner we are considering making a move to the countryside of Switzerland, with a gorgeous RE project offering incredible views on immaculate mountains and lake. However, it is far away, and will require 1h+ train/car commute vs. 10 min biking right now. We are scared it will bite us back at some point, although COVID helped w/ remote working being a new norm. The project will be done 2024, so I hope to have a more relax job by then. Any similar experience to share?
