Live in a Chicago high rise condo building and want to install recess lights in the living room. I’ve been told this is very difficult since there is concrete between floors and the amount of space between the ceiling and next floor is limited. Anyone encounter similar issues? Any particular lighting you found which worked better?

Anyone looking to sublease an apartment in downtown Chicago for the month of June ? I have a 1 bedroom in the aqua building(225 n Columbus) corner unit, fully furnished. 850 square feet, with a balcony and amazing views. Steal deal if someone is interested with an option to extend the lease.

Looking at the City of Chicago phase 3 guidelines for residential buildings and it says gyms should remain closed, but amenities can open (not pools) with limited hours and occupancy

why rent over buy; seems like “throwing money” away?

I was supportive of Lori when this virus first started but her actions since have dwindled my support of her. I don’t expect her to make every decision correct nor do we have to agree with all of them. I believe she should be correct around 75 percent of the time but I believe she is in the 50 percent range. I know everything doesn’t fall on her shoulder but things haven’t been great as of late. Hopefully they figure out something soon.

When renting a condo from an owner, I was asked to pay a $150 move-in fee to the building which I thought makes sense, but then I am being told to also pay a $500 non refundable move in fee to the owner but he is not wanting a security deposit.
