Making himself at home in my home office!

The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

P1 - thanks for the replies. It’s time for some upgrades and I will be using your list as a guide.
A good chair and standup desk for me. A good chair makes all the difference.
And wireless keyboard and mouse. I have a 34 curved monitor to avoid having to setup two monitors. Also use my iPad and pencil for to-do-list, notes, etc.
My firm didn’t even provide an extra keyboard and mouse for working from home.
Standing desk and good chair for sure. I got my standing desk on Amazon and it’s just as nice as my partners $1200 one. Chairs can be pricey though. I love my Herman Miller. You can see if you can find one on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace.
Herman Miller is wonderful! If you know anyone working for the big 4 they have employee discount!
