@Hey fishes, having a lot of confusion choosing between IBM and Fidelity national financial india:
1. FNF has WFH option till December and likely to be continued.
2. IBM has hybrid policy
3. Package is same in both the companies
Can someone guide on this as I cant find much on FNF.
Thanks in advance!

Anything not Tenderloin or bordering Tenderloin, like TenderNob.
Personally love/like Pac Heights, Marina, North Beach, Washington Square Park, Russian Hill, Height & Ashbury and anything close to the walkway on Embarcadero.
Marina, PAC heights, Russian hill if I were you and I could do it over again.
Yes absolutely. You may need to Uber from time to time.
Agreed with PM1 on the shortlist of neighborhoods!
Assuming you’re looking to date, I’d avoid Tendernob - there may be some great bars, but anyone who’s not familiar with your neighborhood (e.g., a date) may not feel comfortable walking around or meeting near your place. Just speaking from personal experience. Fwiw, I live in Russian Hill, so maybe I’m too sheltered... 🤔
Final note - my biggest frustration with SF (having moved from Manhattan) was the lack of efficient public transportation options (wrt both time and money). With the hills and lack of connectivity between neighborhoods, I ubered a LOT when I first arrived in SF. I’ve since invested in a bike, and covid made work commute less relevant, but depending on your priorities, expect to make a trade-off between neighborhood vibe and commute time.
Thank you. Very helpful! I am looking at Russian hill, Telegraph hill, north beach and south beach. Is it possible to walk to groceries, etc? Is there a community vibe? Easier to meet people?
South Beach is for cultureless slime. North Beach and Telegraph Hill are generally younger (early twenties) but it’s fine, just a bit hilly. Bob and Russian Hill are nice. I live in NOPA currently and love it, but it’s just a teeny bit far (20-30 min bus) from the eventual office commute
No it’s fine, just a little bit windy. Not too loud, but strong concentration of young yuppies especially with the parks and restos around. Solid area
Marina, Pac Heights, Russian Hill, Haight Ashbury, and North Beach.
I’ve lived in South Beach, Rincon Hill, Marina, Russian Hill/Nob Hill, and Cole Valley. South Beach is mainly businesses and pretty dead at night. Traffic gets annoying during baseball game season. You don’t need a car for any of the neighborhoods I recommended. I am a water person so I prefer the Marina. If you like parks then Haight Ashbury/NOPA/Cole Valley could be good due to its proximity to Golden Gate Park
Nob hill, marina, pac heights, north beach, or fidi if you want to be very close. Disregard PM1, tendernob (Bush st, nothing below sutter) is great. Also tendernob has some great bars.
