Anyone move from the bay side of the east bay to the 680 valley? We’ve been here for a year and are having a hard time adjusting to the weather and wondering if we’ll ever get used to it. We love getting outdoors but have felt like we’ve spent the better part of this summer inside just because of how hot it’s been. How do you keep up with the same level of activity with kids (running, cycling , hiking) while staying cool?

Hey guys! I’m looking to shift careers. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for 7 years now. Before that I’ve worked in an office, retail, banking, sales and was a correctional officer. I have a BA in criminal justice that I have yet to use. I really want an office job that pays well, but I’ve had no luck finding someone to hire me, actually even getting an interview most likely due to lack of experience.
