Bonus points if you're a litigator--are you getting more on-your-feet exposure than at a big US shop? When do you become too senior to lateral back to Toronto?

Firms love to announce their new hires but it is nearly impossible to figure out which firms are losing people in droves during the “great resignation.” Any news? I will start. BLG and litigation. Many big names have left.

Watching US salaries increase AGAIN and wondering why Canadian firms don’t have the same pressure to follow these raises. Is it the relatively small number of big firms? Is it that all the big firm managers work together to keep the market in line? Is it the lack of reporting in the Canadian legal press? I feel like we are all getting screwed.
