It’s been 5 weeks and I haven’t gone a day or night without crying and feeling haunted by them. I can’t eat, can’t sleep, can’t produce quality work, can’t find joy in anything I previously loved. This is the worst physical and psychological pain I’ve ever experienced.

The biggest thing I keep running and running around my head- after 8 months, why did he drop me? When he texted ending it l….it wasn’t me, like we weren’t us, his words were from someone else, like I didn’t matter. It doesn’t matter how much it wasn’t about me, how he chose to end it, and that’s what crushed me. Who I thought I knew was wrong. I want to know how close he was to loving me.

I'm a recent grad who accepted an entry-level full-time job offer with Capital One. I knew that MBB and other consulting firms rarely ever negotiate salary with new grads, so I didn't with Capital One as well. Was that a mistake? What were the likelihoods that they would have raised my salary? I had no other competing offers at the time

I’m moving to Denver with my husband and cat from Dallas. We are 39 and 40. No kids, we will both be working from home. The idea is to rent for a year and see if we like it. Hello, I have a final panel interview coming up for a Strategic Product Consultant role at Procore (Construction SaaS). It’ll be 3 separate interviews, 30 minute each with a Team Lead, a Senior Consultant, and a Customer Success Manager.

I’ve already completed 2 interviews; 1 screening interview with a recruiter and 1 with a hiring manager.

Firms love to announce their new hires but it is nearly impossible to figure out which firms are losing people in droves during the “great resignation.” Any news? I will start. BLG and litigation. Many big names have left.

What has your firm’s turnover like? Are people dropping like flies or holdout out for February bonuses? We seem to have someone resigning every week.

How widespread will the great resignation be after bonus season?! I’m thinking it will be wild. I know very few happy people right now and most of Big Law has developed a crap reputation for how they treated people during the pandemic. Just me?
