Potentially unpopular opinion: I only tip for food when I'm being served (takeout, fast food, counter service I don't tip). It is not my job to supplement the wages of individuals who are exploited by management. The great resignation has shown us that workers have incredible power right now and I hope they use that to their advantage. Overall, tip culture in the US is horrific and needs to go the way of the dinosaur

Bonus talk today -$500 raise, $150 bonus I cannot make this shit up. Started in late July And was told by the recruiter before I signed paperwork that I should expect a min of 3.5% raise and 2K bonus

I work with a manager that was put on a PIP. She’s angry. She thinks I’m the one that got her in trouble (I’m not). I wrote her and asked about a client deliverable she was responsible for and she copied the world saying it was my job. My Q is do I engage (reply-all) and set the record straight or take the high road?

I’ve heard you only find the best exit opportunities to startups once you start letting your network know you’re looking. How do you do that while not compromising your trajectory at your job if you’re not looking to leave immediately but want to know what’s out there?
