Tbh you get what you pay for, especially with a mattress. It’s one place you spend 1/3 of your life, I consider it a worthy investment.
Even more reason to invest in a good one- make your limited sleep time quality sleep time
Zinus
Got Zinus for $300 (?) on Amazon. 2 years strong
As a Casper owner, pass - it’s hype. Don’t get a hybrid if you want a durable (5+year mattress). Pick alternatives from here https://nymag.com/strategist/article/best-mattresses-buy-online.html
Tuft and Needle
Definitely recommend you go to a MattressFirm or an actual store, you don’t want to be cheap with a mattress. Check out Affirm, it’s essentially a credit card with no strings, doesn’t affect your score and allows you to pay over installments, they also sometimes do 0% interest depending on the site — I went that route since it was an easier pill to swallow. I had a Leesa mattress out of one of those boxes that I thought was breaking my back, 100% don’t regret going the more expensive route.
I splurged and got a king size tempur pedic and box spring on sale, bought a solid bed in addition to some bedding..a bunch of pillows from Macys...sheeeit, I even added in an accent chair, plus other shit
The way I see it, given the pandemic, we spend a ton of time at home.. Might as well make the home comfortable, warm, and welcoming..Its not like I can buy a vacation to go somewhere anyways..
... . Cost me a pretty penny..8k (and counting)..thinking of some paintings, wall hangings etc...
Considering I don't buy shit often and my older mattress from Raymore and Flanigan is 8yrs old... Sleeps like a dream and my night sweats have been cut down dramatically.. I actually spend more time in my bedroom now.. Here is to baby number 6 (the vasectomy appointment can't get here soon enough)
I got a pretty affordable (~$600) and super comfy queen mattress during a sale at Raymour & Flanigan about three years ago— Went to the store in Union Square because I wanted to feel out the mattress before buying. They probably have some pretty good Black Friday discounts.
i recently got the nectar and really enjy it!
I’m also looking for a good mattress and was thinking about Casper, Tuft and Needle, or Nectar. I prefer a firmer mattress. Also what do you usually do with your old mattress?
County dump...😢😢
I’ll sell you my king mattress. I’m moving out of nyc.
I saw that Costco now carries Casper.
Walmart has great affordable beds, just bought one - great quality for cheap!
