Maybe it’s just me, but Fridays always feel lighter than the rest of the week. Sure, I’m tired after working nonstop, but somewhere in the back of my mind I know the weekend is right around the corner. That thought makes everything feel easier to handle. No alarms, no rush, just a little break waiting. Do you also feel that Friday brings a different kind of energy?

The Friday vibe shift is real. Work isn't any slower for me, but knowing I'm a couple hours away from freedom makes it easy to power through. Then Monday morning rolls around and I'm back to being depressed 😂

That’s the whole point. It doesn’t have to be a Friday. No matter what days off you get, the shift before feels lighter because you know tomorrow is yours. That sense of relief makes work feel less heavy, even if you’re exhausted. It’s the thought of rest and freedom ahead that changes everything.

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.
