You need a nitch, I have had more than 6 job offers . I’m bilingual.
I’m also bilingual, I speak Polish. It doesn’t seem like that’s going to help me out here even though Clearwater is a very Polish area.
Have you considered NY firms that are offering fully remote positions?
So we use Indeed mainly for non lawyer hires. And if you follow and build rapport with firm leaders on LinkedIn in the market you want (NY) you’ll get a feel for who does this well and often. Study the culture and mindset of the firm leader. Bring your A game. These positions can be great if you’re a producer.
Feel free to chat me privately I’m happy to discuss offline.
What part of Florida do you reside in now?
Yes I can commute. At this point I’ll take anything… the bills need to be paid and I refuse to move back to New York.
I have 11 years of experience and am in Denver, I am NOT bilingual, but I have 1.5 years of law school experience, 1 death penalty trial, I created the first crime map for Denver Police Department, and more - but I apparently haven’t found my ‘niche’ yet. Interesting! Thanks for the lack of actionable advice, as frankly I don’t believe you have six concurrent job offers, but it sure makes you sound good!
Personally, I am in the same boat as the OP, with attorneys saying they want to maximize their earnings but they then hire people that cannot do that for them, and they bitch and moan about not making enough money - well had they hired based on merit instead of well friendship or family member, things would be A LOT BETTER FOR EVERYONE!!
Someone a sounds a bit jealous
Hi! live in Clearwater and work remotely for a New York PI office. Can you DM me?
I honestly think it is just the market right now. A lot of big companies here did layoffs which kind of oversaturated the market. On top of that there weren't a whole lot of open roles to begin with. Its just a really tough time with the economy.
