Moving to the area for work and was wondering if I live off of the San Bernardino metrolink line, when I bring the train in to Union Station and then transfer to the LA metro system, will I end up ...

paying two different fares since they are two different lines? Or is there a pass that allows me to use both for one fare?

If you get a monthly metro link pass ending at union station you can use it for free transfers to the metro system. So only one monthly pass fare that you need to pay

Thank you for the insight.

In case you didn’t know, it’s a 2 hour train ride from SB to union station

I like the Monrovia area, you can take gold line to DTLA. Also depends how far you want to live from downtown

Just another pointer- the last train leaves the station at 6:30, and it takes around 15-20 minutes to get to union station from where the big4 are (idk where you’re working). So you won’t be able to work long hours if you’re planning to ride the train back.

Yeah i remember when I commuted from LA to Irvine, the metrolink trains ended at 6:30 but Amtrak had trains about every hour till 11pm so just depends on the line and schedules

Hello all, i have. A question regarding compensation for a lateral move. I just received a job offer for an UA position from a competing cyber insurance carrier for $70,000 + bonuses. Hi! I am planning to move from Georgia to California (San Jose). Prior to signing a new lease in San Jose, I wanted to work with the immigration to file my the LCA for the work location change. They are asking me for the exact address and I haven’t narrowed down at this point. Can I temporarily give a friend’s address in the same area for my LCA? Or should I sign a lease with my name and then start the LCA process? Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!

I received maybe 2 hours of formal training and the rest has been learn by fire, even with claims in litigation. It’s a nightmare. I can’t get 5 minutes of my managers time a day. Would you leave?

OK gonna maybe open a can of worms here but I have to ask: it seems the sudden inflation we're seeing has taken the ins. ind. by surprise. The cost/expense projections done X yrs. ago for this and poss'y subsequent yrs. have been thrown off. Costs to repair/replace cars have shot up unexpectedly. Same for houses. Med costs have all gone up. Ins. cos. have relatively thin profit margins to begin with. There's talk of cost-cutting measures-- incl. layoffs. How realistic are these concerns?

Hello, I am thinking about moving to southern california from NJ. I am getting quite overwhelmed with apartment/house hunting (rental). I am specifically looking for 2 BR, 1 or 2 bath in the $2,400-$2,750. $3,000 is ok if there is two bathrooms. We want to make sure we are in an area with good public schools for my pre-schooler. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
