Recently laid off from a top 10 firm in LA after 7 years in PA. I’d been with the firm since college but now not sure whether i want to try and get back to PA or pivot to private or something else. Really trying to figure out my plan but feel so negative towards everything job-related. any suggestions where to begin? I need to find something I semi-enjoy since It’s unlikely I’ll marry a rich husband or win the lottery before my savings runs out.

I feel like I’m overlooked a lot because I like to think that my work stands for itself — so I tend not to network as much. Does anyone have any tips on getting better about putting yourself out there? Any tips greatly appreciated (just a bit tired of losing to the extroverts in 2021 still)

What do you see as most attractive exit ops in Europe? In the US, everything is about Tech/FAANG, but it seems way less attractive in Europe (less strategic roles, comp. seems much lower than in the US, very centralized around London/Dublin).

Trying to get a better understanding of cost of living/ salaries in Los Angeles. What is a reasonable base salary for a senior accounting role in LA? (5years of experience, with CPA).
