My boss said to email her about a raise.

My job almost immediately expanded in scope in year 1. I assumed it would all pay off at my annual review—which never happened.

At the end of last year, I requested a review, and she said I’m doing “great.” I made my pitch about a title change / salary bump and she said she agreed with me but said had to be patient.

Now, she wants me to take on even MORE.

How can I explain I now deserve a raise and a raise on that raise?
