My last fee flights on Delta have been miserable (I.e. delays, RE-routes, going back to gate, etc.). Anyone else experiencing the same? I’m thinking about switching to another airline

Switch to what? The abomination of United that left me and a couple airplanes full of people sleeping at Newark airport without food or water vouchers during Ida? All US airlines are trash and I find it hilarious when americans say airlines in Asia are bad when Asian airlines actually have service and some degree of leg room. Just be like all other Americans and drink the freedom human rights america numba 1 koo-aid you’ll feel better and really superior to boot

I’ve experienced the same with both AA and UA. Don’t bother switching.

Why did they happen? DL historically has been great performance and CS wise, but has faltered the last 2 years. Depends where your home airport is, because 1) you may not have better options and 2) where you live my be a factor in the delays vs the actual carrier themselves.

All airlines are a mess right now. I’ve flown 4 different airlines in the last 4 months and everyone has at a minimum changed my flight to be 2+ hours difference on one side of my trip

like

Southwest or nothing. Never had one issue with them

like

DL is a lot better at IRROPS than UA or AA, and their customer service can’t be beaten. Basically right now you’re going to experience similar issues, but at least DL will treat you well.

like

The only decent airline is the one with a direct flight to your destination.

I think all airlines are understaffed right now (likely intentionally), as they begin to ramp up operation coming out of COVID. Likely won’t be better anywhere else (except for regional airlines).

That’s interesting- I only fly Delta and fly most weeks and rarely encounter any issues. Do you fly direct?

Need opinions: lender services vs a lower MM M&A IB (deal value 60m to 200m/ebitda generally up to 25m) role. I’ve been wanting to pivot to finance for a while now but not sure if going the LMM route sets me up better than just staying in TAS and waiting for a role in ABS/private credit. Short term comp is less of a concern for me since I’m thinking of this LMM IB as a stepping stone move.
