My spouse is finishing up their MPA with 3/4 tests done for their CPA. Several of the Big 4 are recruiting out of the grad program, but I'm concerned that they are hiring primarily (if not entirely) for entry level positions when my spouse has 13 years of accounting experience.

Is there a route for my spouse to be hired in as an experienced hire vs fresh grad? What sort of comp range would you expect from a Big 4 for a mid-career Masters/CPA hire in a Dallas/Miami/Atlanta/Philly tier city?

Does anyone have any insight on picking up a J2 while working for the US Federal Government? Does holding a high security clearance play a role in maintaining a J1&2; as in, will periodic clearance checks for J1 hit on J2?

Im starting a new job but still employed somewhere else. I was trying to be open about staying at BOTH places. My current job won’t let me be part time because they don’t allow “set schedules”. Yet I am one of the only reliable and loyal employees in the department, and currently working a set schedule. So why will they not let me continue a set schedule but with different hours? This place is more focused on strict policies and not actually trying to work their employees and being flexible.

Interviewed for Deloitte S&A Tech Strategy SC and got a verbal offer for Consultant instead. I negotiated the offer to 120K salary and 10K signing bonus. I’m a boomerang with 4 years ERP consulting but this past year I’ve been doing DEI Consulting. Spoke with former colleagues who rejoined Deloitte and got a much higher offer for SC. How do I go back to the recruiter to negotiate further? I suggested that I’d probably sign but need time to think. Now I’d like to go back and request 140k salary.
