We just fixed a fender dent on my wife’s Chevy that wasn’t that bad and it was $4500. I would guess that’s $6k-8k.
I was in a similar situation in my 540 and got a bill for 7500
I had this damage to my BMW which was all bumper and some sensors. This was $15,000
Man these repair bills are making cars way too disposable
Once they’re 5-years old, they’re basically totaled from a minor fender bender
That’s an easy $6k repair.
Given that it is both the fender and the hood, you are easily looking at 5-10k, depending on the level of effort and repair or replace. If it were me, I'd compound and buff out the scratches and then see how noticeable the crease is. I was clipped in a parking lot, no damage to metal (just a plastic wheel well needed to be replaced) and a repaint of that quarter, and it was over 5k. There was no metal body work at all, or it would have been double.
Jesus auto repair has gotten expensive
Yup. I had a dent in my tailgate. The original estimate was like $1500. It ended up being $3k plus rental car by the end.
On top of that. The good shops have waitlist of 4-6 weeks in my area before they can even take your car
