I sat in one and it just felt cheap. If you can get one for a really good price go for it, but I wouldn't personally buy one new or even CPO
I wouldn’t recommend it. It has a special feel as a Italian luxury car but mechanically questionable and also importantly the tech and interior is surprisingly bad for the price.
If You want something special, I would recommend either a 911 (a 996 or 997) or a Alfa Romeo - at least that one has somewhat more modern tech.
The tech and hvac controls are straight out of a Chrysler for these years, they definitely don’t match the fantastic sound of the engine.
This is the answer I needed
I own one of these after dreaming about it for many years and browsing a ton of forums. Love the sound it makes. You definitely need to be a DIYer or have a good independent shop. For parts: 2x Air filters at $80 every year, brakes/rotors running $300 in parts per axle every 20-30k miles, $100 in 5w40 oil and filter every 6k mi (don’t go full 12k), staggered tires at $250 each every 20-30k miles. Dealer does charge $300-500 for an oil change and brake job can run up to $3k for all four, and $1.5k to $2k for a big service with belts and spark plugs. Biggest services are at 30k/50k/70k, where you may need spark plug replacements ($120 in parts), two belt replacements, then possible coolant/trans/diff flushes somewhere along the way. Go for something 2017 or newer from a tech perspective and to reduce the risk of oil pump / spun bearing issues / weak strut towers / leaky sunroof if you get one. Check the carfax for regular servicing every 7k than 12k by a previous owner. Don’t get a base either—you want one with the full leather package along the door panels, dash, etc because that feels way better than the standard. Also, the colored rosso or cuoio leather adds to the experience versus the all black leather. I’m actually glad they dumbed it down with the FCA parts bin because I don’t have to deal with special parts unlike the pre 2013 models if I have to swap something. For $75k hell no. For what I paid, hell yes.
Maintenance can be a b@tch. What’s the year & sticker price?
