lenovo thinkpad, they work pretty great in my experience! not sure how compute intensive your typical workflows are, so the right laptop may depend on that
I really like the Lenovos. I had one as an intern and even though it was old, it was great!
I just left and my laptop was among my top 5 reasons.
One fix I did find for HP was turning off ipv6 or something like that. You can probably find a thread about it online if you are having trouble with calls cutting in and out.

At least my workplace replaces computers that need repairs, otherwise, I'd have lost it. Rumors of getting a super expensive Mac were immediately squashed last year. Everyone is being forced to use Windows.
Mac’s are pretty nice and seamless. I get they’re expensive but a few hundred dollars over a couple years seems like a drop in the bucket for productivity gains.

For me I’ve found turning off the touchscreen can help speed things up a lot. I also struggle with mine tho :(

Yep I am in the same boat. At almost every company I worked and in every role besides the one i have now I was given the hand me down equipment that almost always gave me a headache.
With so many companies outsourcing their IT, it feels like this is so common.
