Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

Job hunting today is like a treadmill: you're running as fast as you can but actually getting nowhere.
Yet you're still trying to manage how to breathe.

It’s not so much that I stay positive, it’s that I don’t have any other choice. If I don’t keep looking for work… What do I do?
It has made me started thinking of FIRE, sadly I haven’t built the cushion so have to go back into the market…
So did the verbal offers materialize or are you still trying to? U did good overall landing interviews and reaching final stages
No, they all canceled the positions. I’ve got 2 VPs actually writing me an email instead of the generic HR email, saying they’re having organizational change/cashflow issues so have to put it on hold.
I’m in consulting / digital transformation if that adds more clarity.
22 interviews off that many apps is still a decent hit rate tbh, but the ghosting after April is brutal. I had a stretch like that where every week felt like a reset button, and the only thing that kept me sane was treating the search like a pipeline instead of a personal verdict.
What helped me most was tracking every stage separately: app sent, recruiter screen, HM screen, final, offer. Once I did that, I stopped blaming myself for every no-response and started seeing which roles were actually biting vs just auto-filtering me.
If your resume is getting interviews sometimes but not consistently, I’d also sanity-check whether the same version is being pushed everywhere. Small keyword mismatches can quietly kill you before a human even sees it. I’ve also used ResumeJudge for quick resume-to-job checks, mostly just to catch missing keywords. Are the MDs giving you feedback on comp fit, or is it mostly just silence after final?
Thanks, I have a tracker too, and I started treating all the applications as cold calls/emails, but there are times it gets upsetting - ghosting and bringing them back to reality, i.e. tell a HR/HM-10 YOE on AI is impossible..
I tried to just have 1 version of resume because the multi-version/tailored resume is getting out of control and I try to update it quite often with those missing keywords. I'm in one of those states where salary range is required on the posting, but they're trying to drag it to the lower end and being very open about the workload too - it's a buyer's market, sometimes if I have nothing scheduled on the calendar, that's when I start to panic..
