This is meant to be a slingshot move for me career growth wise. While I have significant money upside with the big tech options, the startups are also paying well, though I am not optimizing for money at this time.
I am leaning towards options 1 and 2. Just wondering what the impact of going to a lesser known brand with huge impact is compared to a better recognized name but at a lower level.
I’d go big tech. You know what you’re getting, and they probably pay more.
I like the data space in the long run — option 2. A big tech PM position is safe (vs. startup). But more upside at a startup … so all about your level of risk.
Thanks for this! I am very open to risk. This move is meant to be about learning and faster growth. The 1st one is in quality and is a well known problem for people writing code.

Option 2 looks decent as any startup with data and AI is going to be a good learning experience for you.
2 or 3 but depends on what you’re looking for. Title? Stability? For 1, coming into an environment after layoffs can be tricky with morale. Also is the domain going to be exciting enough for you? The other question is if you already have a big name on your resume, you can go smaller. But how are you getting so many opportunities in this market?! Any tips/advice?
When you said you "write papers for startups", what do you mean?
