You are moving into the ‘Nirvana’ stage: a phase when you stop giving fucks about these trivial things in life. Enjoy it.
P1 put the koolaid down. OP just has their title so it’s not even clear he or she is PwC.
OP: sleep more. Meditate. Give yourself a moment or two (yes you can spare 5 seconds) to absorb what the task is that you need to complete and how you want to complete it. Take time to give your mind clarity and then act with purpose.
Headspace! Was skeptical but has helped me sleep better and be more calm and focused during the day
6 years in and facing reduction in sharpness at work. Okay. We veterans have all been there. Key is to reduce your average working blood alcohol content. You’re getting old and you’re body can’t handle it as well anymore.
Or you might be going insane. Claim disability and retire.
Quit drinking so much
It’s prob sleep, mental burnout, and constant back and forth, juggling multiple projects and being “on” for long periods at a time. That’s part of what the energy audit is to help with... how we balance it all and renew our energy.

Get blood work - parathyroid tumor is possible like another said. Calcium > 10 with a high parathyroid hormone (PTH) level is an indicator - vitamin D deficiency also can occur. Look up the Norman group in Tampa for more info. It’s under diagnosed as your PC will want to keep testing blood if they see a high calcium level when this isn’t indicated.

Getting older. I was sharper at 16 than 26 and now 36. You have experience on your side and have the sharp youngsters working for you. Learn to adjust. You’re not a unitasker now.

Have your doctor test your blood. I had benign tumors on my parathyroid glands which causes brain fog.
Take sabbatical, see a doc and just take care of your body. Read fiction. When you get back: Less booze, half as much coffee, no screens after 10pm. If you need to finish a lot of work set an alarm and do it in the morning. In six months you’ll be right as rain.
Made consulting relatively easy for me over the last 6 years and still been a consistent high performer. Now, I’m just slow. It’s frustrating. I spend hours trying to create slides and then they turn out to be mediocre. I could attend meetings with little background work and appear super knowledgeable. Please has anyone experienced anything like this before? What could be the cause of this? How do I fix this. HELP 🙃
