How much do non-MBA Senior Associates and Consultants typically make (base + bonus segmented if possible)?
If I gave a salary range in my pre-screen and then got an offer in that range, can I negotiate higher? They said 70-80k. I said I’m look for something higher (more in the 90-100k) and they said that should be doable, but really I want something in the 110-120k range (gave a lowball bc didn’t want to turn them off in the first round). How do I got about asking for higher?

Seattle question. Offered base salary 110k as a finance manager in Seattle in the industry and I am a 1st year audit manager at KPMG now. Is this fair or I have been low balled?

I just received an offer for a job I want and the salary I asked for, but it says my first compensation review wouldn’t be for 1.5 years (May 2021). They do an annual bonus up to 10% of salary (cont)
So I just got to my 3rd round interview, now meeting with whole accounting team individually through Zoom, is this a good sign and is there anything I need to be aware of?
For those who exit to industry, do you find recruiters lowball? They often quote a salary based on YOE and their standard pay - often lower because their salary progression is slower. 4YOE at consulting you make $120k~$150k but they quote $100k because that’s how they pay their homegrown analysts. Nobody thus far thinks 4y at consulting is worth 5-6 YOE, I’ve even met someone who only match me to their 2-3 YOE analyst because they think their program is more prestigious and want to hold me back.
Hey everyone, I have a few questions regarding RIA fees. Would 3% aum be considered excessive or unethical? (assuming there is disclosure) The returns might justify the fees. Thanks!
Trying to schedule a final round interview for sometime in the next week but I have no 5-hour openings on my calendar. Already used a doctor's appointment excuse once this week 😣 Advice?
Folks at EY who've applied for GC recently. I joined EY in June, so about 6 months in. I understand there is a 1 year wait on H1B before starting GC process. But have there been cases when this has started faster for new hires? I'm thinking of requesting in the new year by first talking to practice lead. Added incentive is SO is in her third try in 2021 and in case doesn't get picked, would want to keep the H4-EAD option open as soon as possible.
MBB 🐠Does interviews round 1 performance impacts the final decision to extend an offer or does the final round matters most? Gauging my chances when I feel like borderline passed round 1
Would you transition to a brand manager? I’m 30 and thinking about the long term. Hear horror stories of people not lasting past 40 in the industry. Have an opening to do it eventually on brand side.
Life sucks sometimes. I had a miscarriage (in a hotel room of course...) in June and can’t seem to stop thinking that I was going to have a baby this month. Time to step back & appreciate what I have!
Getting really sick of health care providers and my own health insurance company trying to constantly screw me on medical bills. I've caught errors on the last 5 bills I've received. Starting to think this is happening on purpose...
Are there delays to the H1B lottery this year?
NYC parents, have you decided on remote learning for your kids for now or send ‘em back to school ASAP?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
New Account Director here. Had 2+ years of supervisor experience prior. Any tips as I transition to this new role? What key things make the positions different? Would love to hear from all disciplines
Getting expertise in python/sql/R which is nice for my utilization but I really don’t want a career of coding/IT. Should I just omit these when I look for new opportunities?
