Is fishbowl a good place for small business to discuss financial challenges; namely daily operating & personnel expenses. The minimum wage is going to put us out of business!? Target is now offering $24, Costco is offering $29 ... how are small business going to compete/survive?

Has anyone made the jump from one HR specialty to another? I’m trying to figure out if I’m better off trying to get experience in the new specialty internally, or if I just find a new role elsewhere. Thanks!

By flexible I mean in terms of moving between positions, companies and technologies.

I've done both and am currently doing salesforce development but don't want to get pigeonholed.

I'm lateraling to another firm because frankly I think the management of this one is terrible, but the people (and individual partners) I actually work with are awesome. I've only been here for about 18 months, so I imagine that short time frame will make it extra awkward 😬
