I spent a year in tax investigations where I believe I was thriving ( I was going to be an assistant manager in July 2023), I had a lot of assistant manager jobs, I even drafted a Code 9 report to HMRC which my manager said was 80% of an actual report, he then added the 20% and submitted it.
After I realised I couldn't maintain all the unpaid overtime I was working I decided to take a turn and go to compliance, so now I work in CT compliance. I feel very surpressed.

Been living in a luxury building for about a year and start noticing that I have a mild cough when I’m in the building. What we do: we represent liquor license applicants in the process of getting a liquor license in NY. For the NJ folks who work in NYC - my potential new employer has offices in both NJ and NYC. The NJ office is a 1.5 hour drive vs. NYC ~40 min commute via train. Still very much hybrid work arrangement. Given the option, which office would you prefer to be based out of and why? Mostly asking from a tax perspective. Rental car third party liability insurance: My credit card covers car insurance, but not third party liability insurance, so I generally get that from the car rental company at about $20 a day. Is there a cheaper way to do it? Recommendations?
