A better question would be: “what is typical salary for administrative work with X years relevant experience and Y qualifications in Z city. I am earning A total comp”
Thanks that’s helpful
I think you’ve entirely misinterpreted what you’ve read
They do advertise this on Instagram. They tap into your FOMO in order for you to sign up. They say if you haven’t gone on fishbowl to talk salary before accepting a job you’re missing out.

Most of the people on this app are in a different career (with a larger user base in Management Consulting, tech firms, banking). It it very unlikely you will get enough salary data points for you to make a productive conclusion. If I were you, I’d network with restaurants, find out who they use for that service, then network with them to
get relevant data points.
The value of the role is not so much the actual job activity itself as it is the skills required to do the job, and how difficult it will be to replace you and re-train someone else.
It sounds to me the job is relatively administrative, potentially with some base knowledge required on how to deal with community boards and hearings. You can be trained to do the job - generously - in about a month. Happy to be wrong.
Given my assumptions, I would guess $50K.
How much automation can be applied to the job? Do you need a law-adjacent degree to understand and apply the policy of the hearings?
This is a laborious job, every case is different and we have to handle it personally with the client. There’s really not necessary to have a degree but all of us have learned about the process while working here. I’ve been working here for a year now.
It’s unclear what you’re asking for — are you asking how much you/your company should charge per service, or are you asking what salary you should be making?
This is for the NYS liquor authority?
Yes, we represent clients before the SLA
I think you should join the Law bowl. This is the wrong bowl for this. Given you are at a small firm, assuming you are one year out of law school, I would guess $100k but I’m not in your practice area so that could be far off. Join the law bowl!
