Has anyone had experience with a break up while working in big law? Facing some problems, largely on account of my schedule. Just want to ask if anyone has experience going about it while maintaining performance and well being?

One of my friends has been given a choice, to work with an extremely outrageous target or to leave the firm. If he chooses to stay, he will be bound to serve a total time of 6 months. And if he refuses, tomorrow will be his last day, what can I suggest to him?

It's a critical decision and he is overwhelmed by this sudden obstacle. Any leads would be helpful.

I have an estranged relationship with my sister. I haven’t had a relationship with her in 13+ years, and haven’t even seen her in about 5 years. We had a really bad falling out and I never really carried for her as a person. But for some reason I feel an immense guilt for not wanting a relationship, simply because of this convoluted idea of family and sticking together no matter what. Anyone else have this issue?
