Not from Jax but visit often. Any recommendations for solid restaurants with a view that are large party family friendly? Only requirement for me is no fried food or bar food.

One Ocean has a good lunch and the street nearby has a few good walkable/local restaurants (you can walk to the beach in 2-3 mins for an after-meal stroll). Ponte Vedra Club has a great view (you will need to be a member or know a member). Marker 32 has delicious food and a water view.

Black sheep is my go to with a view and a solid menu.

Cowford Chophouse
And
River and Post are both great

Both have rooftop swathing and really good food.

like

For rooftops i would say river and post the regular restaurant is great, food on the roof is lacking imo. For downtown i like Black Sheep, Cowfords, and Estrella Cocina. Towards the beach there's a new sushi place with a good view, Margaritaville, casa marina.

like

Coop 303 (upstairs) and O-KU at jax beach, julington creek fish camp, Estrella

Some solid choices here thank you!

Not sure if you use social media sites a lot but if you're looking for good food without a view The Scoop page on Facebook is a restaurant group for Jax that you can search for basically any type of food and there will be a post on it. I also love the snaxonville Instagram account and in their link tree in their bio they have a Google maps overlay that breaks food down into different categories. Good ways to find local places!

My parents are visiting this week and mom and I made dinner tonight. Salmon is seasoned with Trader Joe’s ajika (a Georgian spice blend) and we just roasted the broccoli. The standout is the mejadara. It’s spiced rice and lentils with fried onions and is popular throughout the Middle East. We used the recipe from Yotam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi’s cookbook, Jerusalem.

I have received two offers from great companies. One is a senior analyst role in the advertising industry and another is a Product manager role in the risk industry. I have 1-2 years of experience as an analyst.
The salary, benefits for both are same. I’m looking for a role that has tech and strategy designing as well and both the roles offer this.
My long term goal is to be a product manager but I want to be on the tech side as well. How do evaluate the offers?

Hi friends! I’m looking for resources to help me be successful in a “Functional Lead” role.

The role is in FinTech
I’m responsible for strategy, comms and key partnerships for a bank product. It reports through Customer Experience but touches product, Ops. marketing. It’s basically a Project Manager role but more nuanced.

Anyone out there in a role like this? Any books. videos or even best practices to share?

My partner of 5 years ended our relationship last night. I’m shattered and feel absolutely sick, and I know the healing isn’t going to be easy. We were on the verge of an engagement and I was ready to spend the rest of my life with him.

I don’t know how to approach work during this time. I think I can get by, but I’m definitely not 100%. Should I talk to my boss about it? My team is close-knit and comfortable around each other, but I don’t know if it’s “appropriate.” What would you do?
