Not that I’ve worn ties much in the last year, but I made this to get a bit more organized. The pegs are actually bolts for door hinges that I cut down. $1.25 for a 4 pack kept this whole thing under $10

Very cool! I bet if you made more you could sell on Etsy for $80 or so!

Is that a handrail that was used as the chassis?

Nope, just some maple scrap I glued up, did a walnut inlay in the middle and then use a roundover bit for the profile.

PSA: Jet and Powermatic are having supply chain issues. Ordered a jet dust collector in March with an April delivery date. Woodcraft has pushed it back every month and their current best estimate is July 7th (though they are still advertising a June ship date). Just keep that in mind if you have any sense of immediacy around your purchasing needs.

Any tips on setting up a garage shop? My roommate is moving out, so I'll have half a garage to set up. Thinking about installing a dust curtain. What would you recommend for a starter shop re: outlets, dust collection, etc.?

Not quite woodworking (yet), but I’ll end up building the speaker cabinet for this thing shortly.

What software do you guys use to come up with woodworking plans? Looking into a couple different options, but curious to know what's popular here.

Been busy making my garage into an actual shop. Put in 14 outlets on two circuits and added French cleats to two walls. Not done yet but a million times better than it was.
