No experience on my end. What are you planning to do with it?

Does it let you rotate that belt sanding arm 9 degrees so that you can use the rounded edge of the belt as well? That’s what I use mine the most for, and it’s super useful.

I’d only be concerned with how light weight it would be resulting in lots of vibration and a lack of square between the platform and the sanding surfaces.

I just had my 5th therapy session. The therapist said that this was our last session. I wasn’t expecting because during our previous session he said he will reach out to EAP and get an extension b/c I have PSTD & anxiety. Today he decided there is no clinical need. I got so emotional all of a sudden. He said his fees are $300 per session (he only does online) if I want to pay out of pocket. His profile says he does sliding-scale, but didn’t offer me anything. I think he doesn’t want to see me😔

Anyone interested in practicing BCG cases over the next few weeks?

Leaning towards not changing my last name cause it seems like a lot of paperwork / hassle. Are there any cons I should consider in making this decision?

Hello Fishesh!
I am 5 years experienced Data Scientist and skilled in Python, SQL, MachineLearning.
My LWD is 18th August and really interested to explore opportunities at Morgan Stanely(Mumbai).
Can anyone process my profile faster way?

The last couple of months I've noticed my mailboxes being littered with web3 and NFT projects that have very little to offer besides hefty promises and "predictions". Can someone tell me how to deflect such "job offers" so fewer of them will land in my mailbox? Reading those emails is draining my energy, they never give you info upfront, they always want to get you on a call just to learn they don't have a budget. What a waste of time. Help

I own two small companies, 1.5million in sales combined. Owned them for more that 20yrs. Getting older and thinking of selling, would like to sell by end of 2025.

Not sure how to go about selling. Any ideas?

In your professional opinion, whats the better way to go here 1) Call and go right for the appointment, or 2) call and ask for permission to send info, share ideas

I had received a mail for W2D CONSULTING accelerate virtual program. Is that one mandatory to register ? And is it mandatory to attend?

So, I'm thinking of pivoting to payroll. How hard is the job? Does it involve manual calculations? I'm based in canada.
I did do a bit of payroll when I started. But that's about it. I've worked as Payments Coordinator for few years and right now as doc controller at an engineering firm.
Any insight will be helpful

I have a blank wall in a new shop… 16ft wide. What are your best storage solutions? I have always had a bit of a mess due to tiny spaces I’ve had before. I’m debating about a storage system like the link I will post below. Thoughts? Ideas?

What's a good starter electric saw for cutting lumber at home? Would prefer it be portable since I don't have a fixed workspace yet.

Not that I’ve worn ties much in the last year, but I made this to get a bit more organized. The pegs are actually bolts for door hinges that I cut down. $1.25 for a 4 pack kept this whole thing under $10

Any recent projects to share? I’ve got a few photos I’ll post today!

Any fish here have a Sawstop? I’m about to buy one and just want to get some input from others with one.

Careful gang, I lucked out and my reflexes are faster than I realized. Half the nail is gone and the tip took a haircut. Fortunately I had gorilla glue nearby, but probably should have gotten stitches...

On a related note, I need to start saving for a sawstop cabinet saw

Anyone here ever built a guitar amplifier cabinet?

Anyone make any woodworking Christmas presents? Show ‘em off!

Finally! What’s everyone’s latest projects?

PSA: Jet and Powermatic are having supply chain issues. Ordered a jet dust collector in March with an April delivery date. Woodcraft has pushed it back every month and their current best estimate is July 7th (though they are still advertising a June ship date). Just keep that in mind if you have any sense of immediacy around your purchasing needs.

Not quite woodworking (yet), but I’ll end up building the speaker cabinet for this thing shortly.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a SawStop cabinet saw. Anyone who has bought one before able to share their experience what the deliver lead time was?

Why do all my hobbies involve math

Let's talk dust collection. So I was under the impression that dust collection would clean up a lot of the sawdust. Right now, I'm using a shop vac. Currently, anything that doesn't get directed out the dust collection port piles up. Is that normal? Should I get a second shop vac?

For example, was belt sanding 100 stamp blocks. Stopped every 20 or so to clean up dust pulling up at edge of sander.

Workshop upgrade. Should have done this years ago

Any projects being worked during break? Show and Tell!

Meant to post my latest project! It’s a table that expands from 8’ (or 14’) up to 22’. Here’s a few photos so far

I’m looking for recommendations for a bench top bandsaw. I’m willing to invest in a nicer one down the line, but right now I want to keep it under $300. I mostly see Powertec, Shop Fox, or Wen. There is a $375 Grizzly I’d consider if it’s way better than the others. Any thoughts?

Any Black Friday deals out there?

Well guys and gals: I did it. I found a way to merge consulting and woodworking. I present to you a walnut shoe rack full of Allen Edmonds shoes. Still need to put some finish on it and complete a second identical one for the closet. Addl. pics below
