I'm in shop furniture mode right now. So I made this for my shopvac and seperator. Super cheap and easy. I also created the pipe clamp on the right for my work bench.
Looks like Woodcraft is running a 10% off sale this week on Jet tools. I think I’m going to sell my delta one and buy their cyclonic separator.
Laguna wants a bunch of money for shipping. And I will move mountains to find a way to avoid paying tax and/or shipping...
I cut 100 stamp blocks for a neighbor who has an etsy store. Against my preferences, she wanted white wood. Couldn't even talk her up to pine. Sanded these within an inch of their lives to make them look presentable. 900 more to go...
I like that AlixPartner1 and I can identify each other’s shop by the equipment in the background, haha
It’s leg day over here
I love general finishes arm-r-seal poly. It’s a wipe-on, so it if super thinned down and self-levels.
I’ve never had to finish 400 blocks like you are tackling; I’d be tempted to spray poly onto them.
As far as drying, I have no experience here, but I would probably over-engineer a solution as follows: drive ~100 brad nails halfway through a section of plywood, creating a bed of raised, exposed nail heads. I would dry the stamp blocks [future] stamp-side down on these nails, thus minimizing the surface area of finished stamp blocks that are in contact with a non-finished surface. And since it’s stamp-side down, any nail head marks will be hidden when the stamp is affixed.
