Well because i've never done either it's hard to say. Cruises are sort of already all-inclusive, but I guess you're staying put so it's a different experience. I'm gonna go ahead and say cruise. The cheesy activities like karaoke and poker nights sound fun to me. Like adult summer camp haha

See I’m also leaning toward cruise because of this ! I feel all inclusive resort is a little bit “boring”
I'm not a huge fan of cruises so I'd probably go with an all inclusive resort instead. I'd rather be lounging on a beach somewhere than by the pool on a cruise ship. I also really like getting to do more adventurous stuff on vacations, and I feel like it would be easier to book those kinds of excursions through an all inclusive resort since when you're on a cruise you can only do things on the ship besides the few days you're docked.

Yea that’s true it’s only a matter of hours that we would be on these islands like 6 !
Go on the cruise. We went on a cruise about five years ago now and had the time of our lives. Not only was there so much to do on the boat, but the ports we stopped at were so much fun and also offered lots to do. I also loved being able to order room service at the wee hours of the morning or go to the top deck for some food. I would recommend a cruise to anyone.

We are looking at Royal carribean which one have you went on before ?
I love cruises. Unpack once and see several places. Always some to do and no stress.
It stops in Hilo, Honolulu, Kauai, Maui and Ensenada Mexico
So I have two rules with cruises. I want to be able to eat when I want, and they need a buffet. When I’m hungry I need to eat. Second, I have found the food at the buffet to generally be the best excluding the specialty restaurants on the boat, because the buffet typically has a dedicated galley. I know people that did some other “free” dining options and the food was cold, and underwhelming. The exception to this would be the Pub they had on our Norwegian cruise. They had excellent bar food.
Back to your question, I think with an all-inclusive cruise I would feel compelled to do an excursion at every port, whether I wanted to or not. Now if you find a cruise like Viking that’s inclusive and it’s hitting a lot of places you want to see, then by all means do that. I think you might just spend less money overall.
