On Jan 26th I had a HR discussion with PwC where the hr manager mentioned Feb 2nd is going to be the doj as my lwd is Jan 29th. Now the date is Feb 3rd, still I haven't received the offer. Is this the expected delay?

I have a business idea in the VR/AR space utilizing AI. However, I lack skill sets to evaluate viability or to create an MVP. Neither do I have a network to tap into.

My plan is taking classes to deepen my knowledge while joining and actively participating in communities to find collaborators.

Does this approach make sense or do you recommend other approaches? If it makes sense, do you have any recommendations for classes or communities?

Isn't it possible to have a conversation with hiring manager in Amazon before joining. I tried to have a catch up with him regarding my roles and responsibilities, but my manager denied. I was told , that I will be only able to interact with him after joining. Now I am starting to give a second thought about joining Amazon.
