Our company went through an exercise of redefining product roles - from business analyst, product owner, product manager to assoc pm, pm, senior pm etc. The concept is everyone with same skills - with different competency levels. My question is - what about interest? I am energized by execution, not so much strategy. Is product management for me, or should I be looking at other career paths? Note: I am not overly ambitious, but do want to have a good salary for my retirement savings😉

Is this merged role worth considering as someone young in the industry with more traditional intern and freelance copy experience.

I'm an introverted person, like to keep to myself, focus on work, spend the rest of my time on family, gym etc. I've been told that I need to work on my communication and client relationship building skills. any books I can read? I have a close friend who graduated with a 2.5 GPA from a no name brand school.. he’s looking for entry level Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, PM or business related rotation programs and having a real hard time. He had a major life event during college that impacted his GPA. I don’t believe GPA correlates much with being a great employee especially since most of the learning is on the job.
