Looking for a home office chair…I need something really ergonomic/comfortable but given the visibility of the office in the house the wife wants something stylish. She keeps calling all my ideas ‘gamer chairs’ even though they’re definitely not. Anyone have any chairs they really like that may be worth looking at? I feel like I’ve looked everywhere (Steelcase, Herman Miller, humanscale, Haworth, xchair, etc).

Any thoughts on how do we deal with an incompetent boss who you dont look up to and have no trust that you would ever get credit for the work you would do for him/her? Given that changing the boss is not an option.

How many of you have worried about finding a job outside of education since everyone is leaving?

Pay for teachers in Arizona is so awful 😭. I always wanted to teach in my local community but frankly I can't afford it. I want to move to another state where comp is better but I'm not positive where. What do you make & where are you located? For context I'm a 3rd year 2nd grade teacher.

I would like to know what a strategist really does. I’m asking honestly. This job did not exist 10 years ago and seems like an experiment that is failing miserably.

What is comp like at a pension fund?

For >20 YOE, multiple companies founded, highly technical, patents, academic papers, former F10 Director… even in a T3 city, $240k TC in consulting seems low, right? Not complaining at all just not sure what direction to go for higher comp.
