I think it’s over with my SO of 3 years. He tells me he loves me and wants to work things through but has lied to me several times in the past - some which were the same mistake three times. He knows he needs professional help (he’s also on antidepressants and has PTSD) but I don’t know how I can trust him again. Feeling completely broken - cannot believe the situation we’re in. I’m so sad my heart is breaking and I don’t know what to do

Any other lonely social workers in here? I mean a lot to some of the people on my caseload but that's about it. Don't have any family near me and it's hard to make friends with non-SW's mostly just because I'm too tired after work to want to do much. Do you spend most of your time alone or is your social time self care for you? Just feel like I don't have a support system!

I can't wait for things to get back to normal. For my kids to go to school. To see my family again. To travel overseas and explore. To not worry if I accidentally bump into someone. I feel like my kids are missing out on the magic of school (they were in kg and 1st grade when the initial shutdown started). I didn't get to see my nephew and niece since they were born, haven't seen my sister in 5 years (our family reunion got cancelled this summer). That is all. Hoping for a better year.

Every night for like the past month I’ve been getting incredibly emotional about adulthood. I miss the lack of responsibility, the simplicity of life, friends were always around, and less pressure to be successful.

I’m 3 years out of college now so it’s not like I just started doing this stuff, but I am feeling the exact same feeling as I did when I first started work and just wanted to be back in college. I know I just need to grow up and accept that’s how life is but it’s incredibly upsetting

People who live with housemates / have a garden. Does it get noisy / do you find people in the garden earlier than (we) finish, that distract you from your work?

Also, living how is living next to a secondary school? Noise / traffic etc?

How have you combated your fear of rejection? I fixate on such small things as when my friends, for example, reject plans I have made. This definitely makes me more averse to putting myself out there and makes me ruminate on past perceived failures, which are clearly not good for personal growth

When did you know your firm wasn't right for you? I'm not sure if it's just the stress of being a new attorney with a family or if my job isn't the right fit. I work in civil litigation and am consistently below my billables. I can't stay late because my kids need me and I can't work on the weekends because I have to maintain my house and take care of my kids. I'm being constantly told to work harder, stay later, etc but it's not practical. Or am I not approaching this with the right mindset?

How do i learn to focus on myself after a break up? I was in a relationship for a bit over 3 years and we were close to getting engaged. Weve been on/off the last 6 months but I can tell she’s making a serious effort to move on this time and I think I need to as well but i get lonely much easier these days and living by myself doesn’t help!

I’ve gradually moved on from ex-bf from 1y ago, but still to this day have this greatest fear that I’d crumble if and when I hear he is getting engaged or married to someone.

I wanted a life with him but he couldn’t see it with me (midway of our relationship) or with anyone before me. I do wish him to find his happiness.

It’s just that feelings of unworthy, unloveable, not chosen by someone you love so dearly continue to haunt me after all these times. Anyone has tips to get through this?

I don’t understand how someone can lie about loving you for 6 months. We were together for almost a year (broke up a week before our anniversary). I said I love you first and he said it back. I’ve had a bad case of work anxiety ever since I started a new job ~7 months ago. The adjustment was ROUGH. I was making mistake after mistake. I powered through and somehow got glowing reviews at year end, with people saying I’ve moved past that point.

I’m convinced I’ve only tricked people and sooner or later they’re gonna catch on. I have extremely bad Sunday scaries, I’m always fighting down my anxiety whenever a new ask comes through. I don’t know what to do.

I've been fortunate to be in a high-paying position in the Los Angeles area and I rarely see comparable positions posted. I need help. I think I’m being underpaid at my job I’ve been at for 3 1/2 years. I have 12 yrs exp in IT/consulting , working as a manager with Big4 and want to swich to a product management role. How much value does the product management certification course from ISB have in the market? Does MAANG companies absorb such professionals ?

I am an Engg. (2004-2008) then went for MBA from UPES, Dehradun in Oil and Gas (2012-2014 : Regrettable decision). No connection though with O&G industry. Approx 10 years of work exp.
