Have a formal offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role where I feel there’s not much room to grow anymore. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role which has been amazing, but it seems like Citi would require me to be there 2-3 days in the office per week - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?

The firm definitely feels prestigious. There's an annual soccer tournament and offsites for different practices. Friday culture is office dependent, but the big offices are tons of fun. New York has a weekly happy hour, Boston/Chicago/Dallas have high attendance, a couple of office events per month, and are very social.
Not sure what old Booz culture was like, but almost everyone I've met at OW has been friendly, humble, and hardworking. Very collegial culture.
OW would be the closest to an improvement. Alix has like one (Wo)man or two (Wo)men teams focused on an operational issue (so if you are a people person this could be a negative). At Alvarez they project types would be less strategic (generalization from what I have heard) and comp is waaaaaay lower.
How about the other factors outside of people? Friday culture, office culture? Do you feel like you’re at a prestigious firm? (Just to give you an idea: At Booz, Friday’s were a lot of fun, and everyone always tried to make it to socialize. Every year we had an annual trip the firm paid for.)
Alix doesn’t really have an office culture in North America. That said the whole firm has a similar trip and individual practices also have a group meeting.
No clue on Booz but we have a few partners from there who have done well “meshing”.
This is for CPI. Fun Friday culture in HOU/DAL. Lots of people come in, people go to lunch and visit. Projects are mix of fun but lots are local so people do go home (at a reasonable hour).
Thanks, S1. I’m pretty sure I’ve narrowed in on Alix and OW, my only issue with OW is that I hear comp at manager level is much less. Any idea what the norm is as far as travel for Alix?
I also think I like Alix Exit Opps better as well. Down the line id like to work for a PE firm helping them manage their portfolio of companies. It sounds like this path is most doable through Alix
