What if all I travel with is a backpack?
This is why I hate the airport. People lose all common decency.
If it fits in front of you, put it there. Might be saving somebody else a good bit of frustration, especially during the holiday season when bags get lost and chaos breaks out
Only in the US can a corporation guilt you into their made up rules so easily and get the victims as their enforcers. Space in front is for legs. FAA allows to carry one carry on and one personal item like a backpack. Yes we need to be considerate for others and try to use space as optimally possible but if the airline has no space for what FAA has mandated, then it’s not on me.
Plenty of status. Just observing from the front of the plane.
Or, when people but their jackets up in the overhead bin, when they’re announcing that the bins are full
I put both my carry on and backpack in the over head bin. I figure common courtesy has gone out the window so why should I suffer.
You don’t have status with the airline, do you?
So if I bring a bigger bag to put in the overhead its ok....but my one backpack has to take up my leg room. I'm good saying I shouldn't hog two bags...but why should I loose my leg space because I use a backpack instead of small roller. Why is form factor the deciding factor?
