Hi everyone

Please kindly advise me I feel like quiting apply for the jobs, because whenever I apply I don't get feedback for any technical interviews and always the only feedback that I can receive is that we regret to inform you that your application can't move further in the hiring process.. Recruiters please be fair in your hiring process this is frustrating. Concerned Heavy Equipment Repair Technician with over 10years of expertise in diagnosing, maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting.

My parents are coming to US for 5 months. Any recommendations for health insurance ?

I accepted an offer to work at an Am Law 100 firm in June. I just graduated law school in May. They offered a stipend and reimbursement for bar expenses. I am currently still waiting for any word on when the money will come. They have not started onboarding me or anything. Should I be concerned? Why are they dragging their feet? I have contacted them 3 times since June.

Technically, I'm not a college student anymore because I just graduated in December. I am having trouble finding jobs within my field (Communications with little experience in marketing). I've gotten plenty of interviews, but none of them have made it past the first formal interview (phone screening then interview). Any advice?

“Job hopper” and “quiet quitting” are all schemes made up by boomers to make you think everything is the employees fault. When in reality people are just getting out of bad situations. Older companies do whatever they can to pay you the least amount and get the max work out of you. Except our generation will just leave amid we’re being mistreated, not complain for 35 years making 50k and 0 advancement.

I have a terrible voice that fluctuates between sounding confident to flat toned and then using fillers while I’m thinking, i.e., uh um. Does anyone have tips to improve my communication skills so I sound more polished? Things that have worked for you? I feel I’ve performed poorly in interviews because I hem and haw too much. So annoyed with myself.

I’m up for a promotion at work and I have no idea how much to ask for since it’s not a standard position. Currently I’m a team lead and manage about 8 technicians, my promotion will be to a regional service delivery manager, and I will be managing over 30 in 3 locations. I went from a tier 1 engineer in managed servers to team lead with about a 10k increase in salary.I’m thinking about a 15k increase this time from 65k to 80k. Anybody in managed services have a similar position to compare

I saw someone else do this, so imma give it a shot. Lately, I’ve been applying to iOS developer roles and I’m getting TONs of calls and callbacks from HR and recruiting managers, but then when my resume gets pushed to hiring managers they seem to often get peeved at how little years of experience I have with the title “iOS developer”…
which is fair, and to show my credibility I published my first app last week, but I’m still getting similar messages from recruiters this week. Idk what to do??

I can't get this insane gun violence out of my mind & wait in dread for the next news alert.. Like many others, I'm afraid to go to the store, park, or drop my kids off at school. Always thinking - will this be the last time? It's unbearable to have any semblance of a normal life.

In many instances, social media posts are uncovered afterwards. With advances in TECH, esp. AI/ML, can't something be done to monitor online threats and alert authorities before it happens? Is that a crazy idea?!
