Any fellow overnight security guards in here
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Agree with this! If they’re not giving you what you want I would do the bare minimum and focus your energy on finding another opportunity
Maybe you could ask for access to gym memberships, mental health support, or other wellness programs that can improve your quality of life?? I always think those are the good stuff I miss out on in the hustle of work life.
You get a new job with higher pay 🙂that’s what I did.
I would go with proposing working longer hours for fewer days. It gives you an extra day off to recharge or pursue other interests. If that's not up your alley, ask for a four-day work week or to leave work at 4 PM daily, which is starting to be a new trend.

If you truly feel that you are being underpaid, update your resume and see what else is out there. A jelly of the month club membership or rearranged schedule will not quell that dissatisfaction for very long.

You should look for a new job and leave. They aren’t going to budge.
Go get an offer from another company and either take it or play counter-offer-bingo.
Start looking for another job. They aren't ever going to see your value in the future if they can't see it now.
And yes i need to take my own advice 😅
