I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

Hi Fishes,
I am at a career standpoint where i am really confused what to do.
I have 4+ yoe in RPA .I really dont think its sustainable as a career .I am willing to learn and move into something different.
But what i am really confused is how would i manage to switch jobs without any prior experience?
I already earn 13-15 lpa,why would anyone offer me same level of package without experience?
People who do a successful career switch, please share your stories. In need of some motivation

I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

It probably depends on the type of company you work in but you’re likely going to be met with “you’re going to have to wait for the next review cycle” which could be as late as the end of 2023 depending on how your company is structured. And review cycle raises are often 1-3% without a promotion at large companies. That’s not to say don’t try, squeaky wheels get the grease as they say.
“Forgetting” to negotiate your salary isn’t going to be a compelling reason for them to give you a raise. If you’re going to bring it up, I’d make sure to have a strong justification for it.
I was the same way !! Except in my case I didn’t realize 28k is not really a livable salary and the administrator gets a cut of the money she saved the department by getting me to agree to that super low number. I’ve been here 6 years and promoted once. I was doing a lab manager’s job but getting less than half a lab manager salary. My current salary is 38k. About half what a lab manager makes. My advice: work hard and get experience BUT be looking for another workplace. Get the pay you deserve.
