Dude it's always buyers remorse after the buy of something big. You know it'll totally be worth it. My brother has the same setup and absolutely loves it, the greatest thing is now you can buy speakers to set up all over the house for connectivity. My brother also bought the sonos vinyl record player if that's your cup of tea. Again, great buy, don't be ashamed for spending money on yourself!
Your brother sounds like someone I would enjoy hanging out with
I mean Sonos as a brand is great, but sound wise, if you’re an audiophile, there are so many better systems. Sonos is just great because well one, it’s easy, looks good, and sound great for the average consumer. That said, I try to go for an analog set up. Higher fidelity & I know it isn’t gonna go obsolete with one firmware update. But I have a Bose smart speaker around the house for smart home features. - bottom line, Sonos is a great device, it’s just what you want out it, and the value you’re seeking

If you don't like it, return it?
I got the Arc and Sub- they look great and sound great. No it’s not as good as my semi-audiophile setup in the basement. But for normal family time tv/movie watching it’s great. Super easy setup, easy for the family to use, and awesome integration Alexa/google home.
Awesome. Looking forward to it
Only worth it if you had the small speakers for surround and the bass booster. This makes it a 1000+ surround system but once you got it you wont regret it. My dogs always bark or feel like someone just blew something up cuz the sound is so clear. I even had a buddy doze off on the couch and crushed a wine glass cuz the sound spooked him during a movie. Sound is awesome once you have full setup. I felt the same way when I only had the bar and got the small surround speakers next then the bass when it dropped 100 bucks.
My arc and sub are coming later today so I'm hoping we both have positive experiences.
The early headache I'm already irked by is the ARC / eARC issue for Atmos - bought an HDFury Arcana to address, but starts to take away from the original reason I spent, which was something decent and super easy / clean / simple for the living room.
I’m looking to upgrade my TV for eARC capability. Watched some YouTube to learn.
I have 20+ Sonos speakers - and I love them. As others said, you may find better audio quality out there. However, the ecosystem is simple to use, the products look slick, and the integrations with Alexa are easy.
I have the arc hooked up to an 82” with two play:1s and gen 2 sub and the sound is amazing. My vinyl is hooked up to a port - which is awesome now that Sonos also for uncompressed audio via line in to boat across the system. My best pure music is my stereo-paired PLAY:5s - it shakes my house. The Move is very simple for portability. I’m also ripping all my CDs as FLAC on an external to stream throughout the house.
I also picked up two Play 5 speakers to pair them as stereo option for another room. Really looking forward to playing with all the new toys
I have a whole Sonos system and while it is very nice, I think it’s hard to justify the price. Many other systems are just as good but much, much cheaper. Overall, I will say I am very happy and the app makes it so much easier to work with compared to other cheaper systems.
