Question on Claims with State Farm. Homeowner claim for storm damage. My roof is nearing the end of its life and we just had a huge wind storm. It needs repair but really replacement. I’ve got ACV and a 1% deductible. Do I risk turning it in and getting a tiering reduction? Would I even see any help on that $10,400 quote for a new roof? My insurance agent isn’t helpful for those types of questions and I’ve worked with Independent agencies claims, so I know I’ll be dinged either way if I file.
