Quick question for nurses who immigrated for work. I recently moved to the US and started at a hospital where the workflow and documentation expectations are very different from what I was used to. Some days I feel like I’m learning the job all over again. For other internationally trained nurses, how long did it take before you felt confident in the system?

I thought I set some boundaries with my wedding since my fiancé and I are paying for everything. Now I’m getting more comments about why we didn’t invite some long lost cousin or family member… I don’t want to go bridezilla on people but I’m starting to see how it can happen 😂

Any ideas for a side hustle using financial analysis/risk management skills? On a freelance basis probably.

Hi, what’s the premium processing cost for I-140? I have more than 2 years left on my H1 so PwC is not filing for my premium processing but said I could pay for it out of pocket. Everywhere online I see the cost of premium processing as 2500$ however PwC asked me to pay for 3500$. Could this include any additional charge? Does anybody have any insights? Thanks

Any tax accountants/attorneys in here? What would happen to the 401k of a foreign worker if they cannot longer maintain an immigration status and have to go back home? What about a ROTH 401k? Assuming they made after-tax contributions, would they still be able to take tax-free distributions if they are non-resident aliens for tax purposes?

all - qq I’m currently on an LoA, stuck in India due to personal reasons (on F1 OPT) right now. I have a lot of interest in teaching kids online (coding and such), could I do non contractual job teaching coding online while in India with an indian firm?
