Hi all, I have a question regarding retirement accounts. I am not sure if I should choose a Roth or 401k (company has 4+2% match). Currently 23, base salary is ~100k and investments have brought 45k this year which has me teetering between a 22-24% tax bracket. Wondering what the usual tax bracket is of people retired (around 65yo) as I’m not sure anything would bring in significant income with the exception of investments. Hello! Looking at an opportunity with established startup in UK that's just been acquired by a large co. I'm US based and my salary is around $250k (NYC) -I've been asked my expectation without the startup giving me a range to work from (though I've asked). I'm not sure how to reply to them because I have a feeling that my requirement may be out of their range and while I don't want to undercut my value, I also don't want to be cut out of the process because it's an interesting co. Any advice?

Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

I recently accepted an offer to join a company (A) . They started my H1-B transfer and I received today the approval notice for the transfer.

However, I accepted last week a (better) offer at another company (B) and they will start soon my H1-B transfer.

I attend to tell company (A) on Monday that I will not be joining them. Will there be any issue with company B filing for a H1-B transfer soon?
