Lots of things to take into consideration. Is it a litigation focused firm or is it mostly prelit? How many attorneys are there? How many cases does the firm have? Are you receiving training for the time being or are you just getting thrown into matters?
At the last firm I worked at, they had me doing written discovery (respond and propounding) for the first 3-4 months, and then slowly gave me notices to write by the 4th month, and then after that I started working on motions, appearing for easy hearings (think case management conferences, trial setting conferences, etc) and by the 7-8th month, i started defending depos.
My firm had one owner who was VERY micromanaging and another owner who was a lot more relaxed. I was the only associate at the time and wasn’t allowed to use any of the support staff, and they had well over 200 cases in litigation. I say that to give you some perspective; by the second month you should be working on discovery since you’re in lit and you should probably expect to at least sit in some depos by the 5-6th month since it seems like you and the other associates are the only ones doing lit.
Do you have a lit associate that you have to work under? What have you done so far in your time?
