I hope everyone is having a blessed Holy Week!
Does anyone have any insights on what a typical Sr. Associate Director makes at Boehringer Ingelheim? I have a range of 170-180k which I think is fair but don’t want to be underpaid. Also, any information regarding retirement planning or medical/dental benefits would be helpful. Haven’t gotten much out of HR. Thanks in advance!

You already know the answer. This is common across companies. People look for an exit opportunity, get an offer, and allow to current company to match or just leave entirely. The other option is to do less, be mediocre, but you won't be happy so you just have to exit. One more option is to find a different role internally.
Absolutely. I completely acknowledge that. It’s a good reminder that it’s still a lot of money. ♥️
First, congratulations on your promotion and new title!
Now, use this new title to get the market pay you deserve by switching companies.
Honestly, don't waste time staying at your current company if they match your new offer... they need to exceed the package of your new offer (something better). And even then you can use that counter to negotiate with your new company... and still jump ship.
They've shown they are not loyal to you "for budget" reasons despite them creating the budget for incoming hires.
Exactly! There is a difference in a promotion and a raise. If the compensation is not a fair value then why should you take on the extra work load. I’m in the exact same situation and I’m looking for a way out.
Congratulations on being the best at what you do and getting a promotion but you deserve the benefits that the hard work brings as well!!

Ride out the next 12 months with that title but use that time to research who you want your next employer to be. Once your ready pull the trigger and move on.
I would definitely start looking for another job, personally. If they're not willing to negotiate, that says a lot about how they value their employees.
Yes find an exit plan
Congrats on the promo. I would start looking outside and then give leave when you get an offer. Hard to stay if you’re started to feel bitter
Job hunt.
Getting them to match to stay is not always positive from when I’ve seen it over the years (I’ve never done it personally).
The negative I’ve heard w constant job hopping is that one usually runs out of opportunities unless they bridge into director then VP roles and then you are competing w people with broader skill sets usually.
In this environment, I’d hang where you are valued (although cheaper than you’d want) till the market changes.
That’s what I can’t get past. It’s budget issues when I ask. It’s market value and competitive salary for new hires.
Nice salary in general. But if you can make more somewhere else, hope you can find it!
