I am contemplating a new offer for Validation Lead role (non- managerial) at a Big pharma, with 4 years experience -post masters degree. Suggestions on what the compensation should look like ?

Considering that the end of this year will probably signal the start of a recession, is this a bad time to jump into a new role in Pharma?

MBB AP about to exit to non-FAANG tech. Would you expect a signing bonus and/or pre-determined severance pay if things don't work out with the new company? It seems like every time I log into LinkedIn the people who are “starting new positions” are people who already had jobs in the first place. I’m honestly ready to just give up. Left McKinsey for a Fintech corporate last year. Really disappointed to see bonuses given out (cash is equivalent to half month salary, equity vested over 5 yes also not great) after getting the 5/5 rating and business doing well overall. Doubting my decision to come to industry. Is this the norm? Feels really low as historically variable has been a big enough component for me to pay down loans/invest.
