How does one go about making the jump from B4 to MBB

I did it through knowing an MDP(B4 to MBB) - but that really just gets you in the process. You have go through all the case interviews still. I will say - strongly ask yourself why, the grass isn’t always greener and BCG is known for not being super accepting of laterals.

Mainly networking and training are poor. With networking you’re really not part of a cohort and the rest of cohort sees you as competition in the up or out cycle. And for training, since like 90% of the firm is home grown, they just don’t know what they’re doing because being a lateral is an outlier and not an area they really care about. Whereas at B4, lateraling is extremely common at the firms are engineered around it.

Hello,

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?

Any tips for building a client base from scratch? I’m a 4th year associate at a firm of 12 attorneys. I practice in business, compliance, and real estate (primarily on partners’ files) and don’t litigate. Most of the partners’ clients are wealthy friends or friends of friends (not my circle). Associates are not referred business, even cold calls, and so far “networking” events like Chamber of Commerce luncheons have been a bust. I equate a book to autonomy and career choice and pressure is on.

Does anyone have suggestions for what a salary should be for a Digital Marketing Analyst | Paid Social & Performance Media? I have 1 year of experience, the job asks for 0-1 year of experience. I feel I over meet the qualifications in some areas and just meet them in others. The recruiter said 50k is the salary the company is offer. I know I can negotiate. What are your thoughts on what the salary should be?
