I did it through knowing an MDP(B4 to MBB) - but that really just gets you in the process. You have go through all the case interviews still. I will say - strongly ask yourself why, the grass isn’t always greener and BCG is known for not being super accepting of laterals.
Mainly networking and training are poor. With networking you’re really not part of a cohort and the rest of cohort sees you as competition in the up or out cycle. And for training, since like 90% of the firm is home grown, they just don’t know what they’re doing because being a lateral is an outlier and not an area they really care about. Whereas at B4, lateraling is extremely common at the firms are engineered around it.
