Been flying coast to coast for 8 months. Got a great review, should get promoted next year if I stay on this project, but if I stay on for the second release, it'll be another 7-8 months and...
Given the option of (A) running a small-mid size recruiting dept in a smaller agency, or (B) recruiting client-side / in-house marketing department — which would be preferred, and why?
If agency/client teams made tomato bisque: "Tastes delicious. It needs hot sauce. Let's add that and pass it off to the sous chef." "Hmm, not sure about the hot sauce. Take it out and add some salt. Also let's put some squash in there. Let's let the head chef take a look." "No, let's go back to what we had before. Are we sure a spoon is what we need for cutlery?" "Forks are huge on insta right now. What if we did a two-tuned fork?" "YES. Okay, the maitre'd thinks we should put the squash back in." "Would it be possible to also put salt on the fork?"
My 23rd fall tax season and I still can’t get myself into the next project/deadline until 9/15 is fully buttoned up….Today I’m part sloth, while still attacking the problems that arise.

I have an upcoming interview with on of the FAANG companies that was previously a client of mine. Is it ok to speak to the recruiter/interviewer about the details of the project I worked on. Or is that frowned upon and I should anonymize the project details?

How do you get past the “guilt” of leaving a company full of people who you like and respect? Currently on a project where I really cannot be replaced this last minute & have the project end successfully. My managers have also repeatedly checked in on me and made it very clear that they want to keep me / are doing everything they can to help me grow at the company. Still, I am not passionate about the work at ALL and want to leave. Just can’t make myself start looking because I feel so guilty.
Nothing quite like joining a project and not doing a lick of work for the first few days 🙌
Experienced investors, buying my first rental property for 168k. For primary property I know it make sense to get the lowest rate by putting down as much as possible. But for this one I'm getting 25% down at 2.875% and 20% down at 3.625% no points. Saving 8400 in upfront costs with 20% down. What do I do? Also going to fix it up estimated costs 15k.
I just got an Oreo with one cookie half facing outside in....how many points should I ask for?

I'm interviewing for a non-tech role (content developer, for technical docs) at MSFT. I've had my screening and "informational" round; next will be the 4-hr loop with a few people. Curious what the interviews might be like for a role like this (I know engineers/programmers get coding questions and problems to solve on the spot...). Anyone here familiar?
Any insight on getting MBA from mendoza as far as prospects for transitioning into a post-mba strategy consulting role? It’s ranked outside the top 15 but from research seems like it still sends plenty of grads to top consulting firms (not MBB)
Have you ever worked with a partner that points out every error you make (regardless if it’s nothing or a bigger error) but never points out anything good you do or says thank you? How do you not let it slowly chip away at your confidence and self-worth? I try to let it roll off my back, but it does ultimately affect me and my enjoyment of my job.

Should I acknowledge the rescheduling and apologize to each of the 3 interviewers on the calls (there are 3 calls for round 1)? Or just not acknowledge? I don't have the email of my interviewers so can't contact directly now.
